Grammys & Baftas 2013.

So, two amazing award ceremonies have taken place this week and I wanted to share my thoughts and favourite looks from the red carpet! I love both of these events and look forward to them each year. The Grammys bring the best of the music world together, and the Baftas, the best of the film industry.

So lets begin with the Grammys! Here are some of my faves from the night.

I especially love Beyonce who is on trend with her monochrome ensemble. I think the Osman (London Based Designer) jumpsuit flattered her curves perfectly. She looked so stylish and chic and I admire her style. I love the bright red lips and the hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail adds the finishing touches. Buy your own monochrome jumpsuit here

I thought Rihanna looked so gorgeous and feminine. I love the way she takes risks with fashion but was impressed with her choice of a custom made Azzedine Alaia dress. I love the sheer panels on this dress. I think the colour adds warmth to her skin tone and I love her hair set loose in tousled waves. Get this trend by buying this more wearable version here.

Taylor Swift looks stunning and she has gone for the long white flowing dress, probably after the success of her Ralph Lauren dress at the Choice Awards. See my post on the Choice Awards here. I love this dress by J.Mendel from the Spring 2013 collection. The Grecian style dress ties in perfectly with her hairstyle with the hair braid. Love this white Grecian maxi dress here.

Katy Perry and J Lo both look amazing. Katy, for me especially as I think this colour really suits her and hugs her figure perfectly. This dress is Gucci and the detailing is stunning. I love her hair with this look and her make up is flawless. J Lo always looks great. She defied the rules on dress etiquette with regards to too much flesh on show as expressed by the channel broadcasting the event, but she rocks it amazingly. Love the heels and the high top bun.

Also loved Kelly Rowland and Solange's looks from the Grammys.  Adele looked amazing in Valentino. Some stunning women definitely strutted their way down the red carpet.

Now onto the Baftas! Here are some of my faves from the night.

My fave from the night is Marion Cotillard in her bright canary Dior dress. I love the boldness of this dress and the sheer panel that adds a modern twist to the look. Her simple hair style finishes the look perfectly and the red lips make her seem so effortless and glamorous. A dress that is a high piece of art in my eyes. Rock this colour by splurging on this dress here.

I adore Jennifer Lawrence. I love her as an actress and I love her style in general but she looks amazing in this Dior Haute Couture dress. I love the strapless look on her and the detail of the dress. Her wet look slicked back hair looks stunning, I feel not many could pull that look off well and she rocks it.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning in a simple Burberry dress with a studded bodice. Simple but elegant. She looked so happy and the big grin went well with her dress. I love her cropped hair and the elegance and sophisticated appeal of this look. Get this trend here.

The final look I adore is SJP. I love her style in general and am a massive fan of SATC. She has taken a risk with this Elie Saab jumpsuit and I think it worked. I love it as its not a predictable choice for the red carpet and I love the sections of different material used. Another simple black outfit but so chic. Love this one here.

These were my faves from the two events. What were yours? Comment below.
