L'Oreal False Lash X Fiber Mascara : Honest Review

I have a new found obsession with a certain mascara! I'll be honest guys, I can be quite fussy when it comes to my mascaras. When applying makeup I really want my eyes to pop so I'm always on the hunt and look out for the perfect mascara to lengthen and volumise my lashes.

That's when I discovered the magical mascara in the form of L'Oreal's False Lash X Fiber Mascara. I have always been a huge fan of their Telescopic mascara, (I still am) but I love trying new products and mixing up my makeup routine all the time. I was on the hunt for the perfect mascara that gave that false lash look and this mascara is advertised and promoted to promise that.

I was slightly skeptical of a fiber mascara as I had read plenty of negative reviews with people saying that the fibers fell onto their cheeks throughout the day and nobody wants the look of crumbling mascara on their face. I can honestly say this has not happened to me when using this product and I have been testing and wearing it for over 2 months now.

This mascara comes in two steps and is numbered on the packaging to display which side to use. The first step is the voluminous black primer (so happy its not white like some of the older primers) which thickens your lashes beautifully. One coat is enough but I always apply two for a day look. 

Step two is the lengthening fibers which are build-able to give a more extreme look if required. My lashes appeared fuller and longer. The packaging is bright and appealing with the use of the colour purple (I love this colour) and black.

As per their tips to achieve their 3 different looks:

1. A more natural false lash look - Apply 1 coat of primer then 1 coat of fibers.

2. Volume false lash look - Repeat 3 times.

3. X-treme false lash look - Repeat 5 times.

Personally for me I tend to prefer the more natural false lash look especially for everyday wear so I would not feel comfortable with applying 5 coats of this as I feel this would be too much for me. However great to take your look from day to night with a few more coats.

I love a false lash look but sometimes I just don't have time to apply falsies so this mascara is perfect to build up that extreme false lash look. Sometimes if I want a more natural look then I don't tend to grab this mascara as I feel this adds a lot of product to the lashes so sometimes I will just use step 1 (black primer) or reach for my faithful telescopic mascara. As far as a fiber mascaras go though I definitely rate this one.
