Happy Valley Glamping Norfolk

This year for my birthday I really wanted to escape from it all and get away. We found the perfect way to do this by staying in the most beautiful and cosy shepherds hut in the middle of a pine forest. We stumbled across Happy Valley in Norfolk online and instantly fell in love with the gorgeous pictures and the whole ambiance and feel of the surroundings. It ticked all the boxes for what we were looking for and was right up our street.

About a month ago we got to spend 2 nights here in a little hut called the King Nutkin cabin. This beautiful cabin is perfect for couples and sleeps two in a large king bed. We took our own bedding and made it even more rustic with our plaid stag head duvet set. It was the perfect size hut for us and was lovely and heated as it was bitter cold outside. To us it made it even more of a beautiful experience. There was a small kitchenette area with two bar stalls and a fridge, 2 gas hobs and a wood burner. Everything you could need for a few nights stay along with the amazing hot tub not located too far from our front door.

The whole site is set in secluded woods and this is just perfect if you are looking for a peaceful time and to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is adjoined to a 250 acre Norfolk Wildlife Trust site so if you are an outdoor lover and enjoy hikes through nature like us then you will love it. So picturesque and enchanting this was the ideal romantic mini break for us.

We just wanted to spend some quality time together and spent our evenings cooking up some tasty food, listening to acoustic music and playing board games. On our second day we woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow outside our cabin doors with pheasants walking past. It felt so wonderful to be in the middle of the woods and enjoying the peace and quiet. We wanted to feel lost in the woods and this was a perfect time of year to do this as the site was empty apart from us staying as guests. We can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the outdoors even more. They have 3 different plots along with bell tents in the summer and a tree house on the way. 

We couldn't recommend this place enough especially if you are looking for a UK getaway in the woods, so make sure you check out Happy Valley. Such a great mini break for a weekend with plenty to do in the area such as beautiful nature walks and local pubs to explore. Perfect glamping experience!
