Country to Country Music Festival London

So I had the most amazing time at this years Country to Country (C2C) festival back in March (so long ago now!). Hands up who is as excited as me about next years Country to County gigs! They have just released the headline acts and I cannot wait to see some of these amazing artists. I am especially excited for Eric Church! I was so lucky to have got tickets last year to the London event at the O2 on the Sunday. Over the last few years I have developed more of an interest in Country music. I have always been a huge fan of music anyway and listen to an array of genres. My dream would be to visit Nashville one day, so to be able to enjoy the Country music festival was so exciting. Country music is definitely a growing genre here in the UK.

I got to experience the most breathtaking performances from some of the biggest country music acts including Chris Stapleton, Ashley McBryde and Drake White. What a show! The festival plays all weekend from the Friday through to the Sunday. There is so much going on within the O2 in the restaurants and bars hosting smaller acts and artists signings. There was the Town House area where you could buy memorabilia and a whole range of Southern inspired goods from cowboy boots and hats to wooden Nashville signs. I was in a dream and loved every minute of it.

I got the pleasure the previous year of attending the Bluebird Cafe in Building Six at the 02. Ashley McBryde had been one of the acts performing a songwriters performance with Walker Hayes.
It was such an experience to hear the artists talking about their songs and then performing in an acoustic setting. For me Ashley McBryde stood out and her beautiful performance left me in tears. As we were walking out of the show her name was on so many peoples lips and I knew she would be the stand out for many. I was right as this year she was on the main stage and I felt so pleased for her, somehow I felt like I knew her haha! I felt like a proud friend.

Chris Stapleton was the headline act for the Sunday gig this year and I couldn't wait to see him. He has been an artist that has been on my list of gigs that I have wanted to attend. He did not disappoint, what can I say but just the most amazing and powerful set. I could listen to him all day long and Broken Halos, Traveler, and Tennessee Whiskey just blew me away. The whole crowd were cheering and singing along to the lyrics which sounded so beautiful in the arena. When he finished his set everyone was screaming for more and luckily he did return for his encore. Such a perfect end to the perfect day.

Do you like Country Music? Have you been to C2C?

  1. Thanks for your post. Another element is that to be a photographer entails not only problems in capturing award-winning photographs but also hardships in acquiring the best camera suited to your requirements and most especially issues in maintaining the standard of your camera. It is very genuine and clear for those photographers that are in to capturing the particular nature’s fascinating scenes : the mountains, the actual forests, the wild or maybe the seas. Visiting these exciting places unquestionably requires a digicam that can live up to the wild’s unpleasant surroundings. dbfz patch notes
